Pediatrics Plus Children’s Clinic was established in June 2022 as the first private pediatric healthcare
institution in the city of Rijeka, the first in the Primorsko-Goranska County, and the only private facility
for children from Istria to Zadar and Zagreb.

The clinic is located at the “old Medic” site, Meštrovićeva 2, Rijeka, with secured parking spaces,
facilitating access for patients and parents. Pediatricians provide preventive care, diagnose and treat
diseases and developmental disorders, and work to maintain the health and well-being of children
through all stages of their growth and development. Regularly monitoring a child’s growth and
development and conducting recommended preventive check-ups are crucial for ensuring optimal
health and timely diagnosis of illnesses.

The guiding idea behind opening a private clinic for children is the desire to make access to healthcare
for children faster, in spaces designed like playrooms to be more child-friendly, and to have the ability to
provide time for both children and their parents. Children are not just small adults; their bodies and
minds are growing and developing, and they have unique medical needs dependent on age. They
express their illnesses differently than adults, sometimes unable to answer healthcare professionals’
questions or be patient and cooperative for long periods. They are often scared and distrustful. Our role
is to understand them, strive to help them overcome such situations for their well-being and comfort,
and the joy of their parents.

The specialized and subspecialized-consultative activities of the clinic cover preventive examinations,
diagnostics, treatment, and habilitation of children aged 0 to 18 in various pediatric areas.

The clinic employs a team of proven top experts who continuously educate and improve, actively
participating in numerous domestic and international scientific conferences. We serve as a teaching
base for the Health Studies at the University of Rijeka.

Blood testing for the pediatric population is possible from birth onwards, and we organize and prepare
laboratory samples for other institutions and collaborative laboratories. Our Medical Biochemical
Laboratory, Analiza, allows us to provide a wide range of different laboratory tests in the fields of
general and specialist biochemistry, coagulation, microbiology, hematology, analytical toxicology, and
parasitology.

Blueprint Genetics is a company conducting genetic tests for inherited diseases, including tests for
neurodevelopmental and neurological diseases (e.g., epilepsy, neuromuscular diseases, brain
developmental anomalies, autism spectrum disorders, neurocutaneous diseases, etc.).
